I haven't seen all the movies yet either, but I am working on it. The movies I enjoyed this year are:

The Wrestler
Milk
Vicky Cristina Barcelona
Bolt
In Bruges
Cadillac Records
Slumdog Millionaire

Will elaborate on these soon.

No guess on the Oscar winners, but the Globe and SAG winners can give us a close idea. I voted for the SAG awards and those are same people who won, which is the first time I have been in accord with the popular vote. After I see all the nominated Oscar movies, I will announce my final picks.

I have a hard time voting for movies I haven't seen, and the ones I have end up not winning. Except for The Dark Knight and WALL-E, which I loved both and hope they win in all their categories, and in the competing ones, I root for WALL-E. But I hope I can at least get out to see Slumdog before it's too late.

I used to go to the movies every weekend but since moving to Michigan I've seen nothing! I didn't even realize Taraji Henson was in Benjamin Button until the nominations, but so happy for her! There are so many movies on this list that I'd love to see. What were your favorites? Any predictions on who will take top honors? Is the party here after the show? :-)

Wow, I've only seen one of these movies - The Dark Knight - and I actually thought Batman Begins was much better, although I loved both films. That doesn't mean I'm not partial to some actors. I'm pulling for Kate Winslet, Meryl Streep, and Sean Penn. I'm also looking forward to watching Milk, Slumdog Millionaire, and (especially) The Reader.
