Chris Nand -- I offer screenwriting services. I will email you directly.

Steve Shannon -- People in Hollywood are full of shit, especially with their stories of rapid and easy success or rise to fame. Anything worth doing is hard work. I am like you, thousands of pages written and trashed, and that is also how all successful screenwriters are as well. Don't rush yourself, but do give yourself some deadlines to keep you moving forward. When the time and the script are right, you will know it. You will have to learn technical formatting though if you ever want to sell a script, otherwise, you can just make the movie yourself with your messy script.

Anthony DeLoach -- Congratulations on your 2 scripts! That is no easy feat.

Minnesota Bound -- Yes, I know the Blockbuster recurring nightmare, it is astounding how much crap is made and the millions of dollars spent on making it! Am so glad to hear you are working on your own ideas. If your script made you laugh much later, that is a great sign. Most of my old stuff makes me want to croak, but there are a few things that blow me away or make me laugh still, those are the gems I pull back out too.

Karen Swim & Sizzling Popcorn -- Been a while now, you two ever get to working on the scripts?

i read things like, john hughes wrote breakfast club in 2 days. it's probably true, but i'm sure the process in his mind took years. quotes like this give me hope. i've written so many pages over the years, only to trash them. i'll write when i'm ready. i haven't forgotten a damned thing i trashed. i just won't write til i get it right in my mind. i'm clearly not a technical person. big fucking deal. i look at the shit that makes it to the screen now. "puke". any moron with a pencil can write a screenplay. i'm a frist class moron and i'll have mine.

I started writing a screenplay last year out of complete boredome with my visit to Blockbuster. As I walked past bad movie after bad movie I said, WTF, I can do this. In about a week I had 39 pages of scenes and perhaps a genious movie in the works. I put it away and left it on a thumbdrive and just forgot about it all summer. Well today I looked at it for the first time and read what I had done last spring, I still laughed at my own BS. I'm picking it up and including more real life stuff that's happened or witnessed that can feed this.

Any good news on your script from August

Jaden, the whole time I've been reading your blog and loving your work, I would think "it's so cool to be able to do that and to want to do it." Today, when I saw Screenwriting for Hollywood, I remembered that I have that book and several others. In my 20s I wanted to write a screenplay, long before I was writing for a living. I had buried it so deep it never surfaced in my memory. Maybe, just maybe I'll give this challenge a shot. Thanks Jaden!
