Too big of a budget and too high powered of a cast for me to be the director.

Steven Soderbergh, Clooney, or Coen Brothers — each would be great and each would make something completely different.

Ah yes, my dream cast….the mischief I could get all those handsome actors into, if I did a movie, LOL.

Gael García Bernal, now your talking! Cate is an amazing actress I agree. She certainly pulled off her gender bending role in I’m Not There as Dylan. I can certainly understand like you say, that you have a way you want to see your movie be and feel, and that the other 4 actors fit how you invision your movie to be.

Since you gave your dream cast…..who’s your dream director? You?

Very nice dream cast you selected, I would definitely watch your movie with that cast no matter what was the story.

My alternates are: Gael García Bernal for the Benicio role, but because Benicio is more gritty and tougher, he would be better in this case; Bernal would make the character something totally different, lighter, but ok too. The Cate B. role could be filled by lots of people, it is a sick weak implied lesbian; again, Cate would just be the best. My heart is really set on the other 4 actors. Anybody other than them would change the movie feel too drastically.

* Benicio Del Toro gets killed.
* Catherine Keener is the murderer and wife of Benicio Del Toro’s character.

* George Clooney would be blamed/framed for the murder, and maybe also his wife Cate Blanchett, because it would be later discovered that George Clooney was, or had been, having a secret affair with Benicio Del Toro.

* Kirsten Dunst would be the newspaper reporter writing and investigating the story.

* John C. Reilly would be the detective.

Lets see, my dream cast would be Ryan Gosling, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ellen Page, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Sarah Polly perhaps. I would also definately have added Heath Ledger as well (*sigh*).

You must see ORLANDO starring Tilda Swinton, if you haven’t, that’s what turned me on to her ages ago. Fantastic. Also, a top favorite screenplay of mine – unique.

Great guesses on the murder story. I’ll say only that you and Melissa are hot on the trail! I’m having so much fun reading the different versions.

I can’t wait to get this movie out into the world, I think it will be a big hit! I can only pray to get this cast. I have a few alternate actors that would also do great.
