Thanks Filming Fan for info about Florida!
A very western average movie follower’s point of view. What about some of the Asian and Middle Eastern Film Festivals that can knock more than half of the list out you have there.
Dubai Intenrational Film Festival?
Pusan International Film Festival?
Hong Kong International Film Festival?
Shaghai International Film Festival?
VENICE film festival???????
Those are all titans over most of your list and on par with Cannes.
FF — Thanks for adding additional international film festivals. Yes, those are great as well.
The festivals on my list are specifically the ones that Hollywood film executives attend. Hollywood executives in mass don’t necessarily attend the ones you have listed, but yes, film executives from other countries might.
The big ones you have listed are more for already established big movie makers and famous actors.
My list is to help unknown screenwriters and filmmakers to get distribution with their own independent movies and make sales through Hollywood.
thanx for all ur info!!

THE KOOK looks awesome! Congratulations! And good luck on your journey.
The top three film festivals in the world are Cannes, Venice and Berlin -in this order. This is not my opinion, it’s an order established in years in the movie world. Most important directors submit their works to these film festivals. The order of the rest is not so much established, but includes San Sebastian, Toronto and Sundance (Sundance, of course, is in a bit different category, since it is for independent movies, and mostly north american ones).
